Alex grew up in Howard County, Maryland where he attended Long Reach High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UMBC while working with us here at Catalyst as a physical therapy technician. His positive experiences working as a tech motivated him to pursue a career in physical therapy. Alex would go on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2021. 

 

During his studies Alex also worked as a personal trainer gaining his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS) certifications. His education and experience working both as a personal trainer and physical therapist have helped build a strong foundation for his patients when they transition out of the clinic and onto the field. 

 

In addition to his background as a sports/orthopedic physical therapist, Alex has spent time working in other settings as well such as acute care in major Baltimore hospitals and in outpatient neuro. His wide array of experiences has helped shape his multifaceted approach to his patient’s treatment plans.

 

Aside from work Alex enjoys being outside hiking, weightlifting and snowboarding. He also enjoys free food.
